Differences between the vehicles

Forklift versus reach truck

What are the differences between a forklift and a reach truck?
First of all, the driving direction is different. With a forklift, you simply look straight ahead and drive straight ahead. The biggest difference with a reach truck is that the driving direction is sideways, which means that you sit sideways to the front instead of straight ahead.

However, the most important difference is where they are used. While a forklift truck can be used both inside and outside the warehouse, a reach truck is almost always used inside the warehouse. Reach trucks are also more often used for working with higher racks.

To make the choice easier, ask yourself this question: do you prefer to work indoors or outdoors? If you choose both, then the forklift truck is the right choice!
